(See this URL: shop.wagnific.com/lead_adv_rewrite_bio .) But she is not listed on the board-certified veterinary behaviorist list for any state in the U.S. There are several veterinarians named Jessica Clark in the U.S. and one named Jessica Clarke in the UK. It’s clear that none is involved in this claim by Wagnific.

Fraudulently using the title “veterinary behaviorist” is actionable by the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists. In early June 2026 I reported Wagnific’s usage to the ACVB, but they likely have bigger concerns to take care of.

There are several different posts on the Wagnific site, all allegedly written by “Dr. Clarke,” with contradictory dramatic stories about the origin of Wagnific. There are the “Park Encounter” version, the “2 AM Research Rabbit Hole” version, and “The Conference Discovery” version. All are written in clickbait style. The most current version uses the “2 AM Research Rabbit Hole” story.

Oh, Maybe It Wasn’t Jessica?

But wait, there’s more! There are contradictory stories claiming other people brought Wagnific to market. Maybe it wasn’t Dr. Clarke after all? One story credits a Jason Crawford, “a certified sound engineer and canine behaviorist” with a version of the “Park Encounter” story. Another two versions feature a Dr. Sarah Mitchell using the “Conference Discovery” story. My colleagues in the dog training world will be interested to know that Dr. Mitchell’s piece is quite hostile toward their professions. She accuses the “multi-billion-dollar pet anxiety industry” and the “pet pharmaceutical industry” of suppressing this key information about music for dogs that “threatens billions in pharmaceutical profits.” She (if she exists) says she may even lose her license for sharing this valuable information with us!

Note: It is par for the course, though, for such products to express hostility to evidence-based medical and behavioral support for dogs. They are in direct competition with the services of evidence-based professions, trying to bleed off people with fewer resources who can be convinced of a quick fix.

I didn’t find a good match for any of these people online anywhere besides Wagnific. They might be out there, but the bigger picture is that all of the conflicting stories can’t be true.

I don’t want to make active links to their site, but you can copy and paste from the list below to check out these ridiculous conflicting stories. Check out the last one if you want to see just how hard Wagnific is going after the veterinary and training professions. That one also features a ridiculous AI image of a “conference” (don’t you always have a giant, unannotated AI headshot of a Labrador on a screen behind you when you present?) and supposed before/after photos of a German Shepherd that are clearly different dogs. It’s also the one that currently has an image of somebody else’s music research.

shop.wagnific.com/lead_adv_rewrite_bio (Jessica Clarke, current version as of July 2026, 2 AM Research Rabbit Hole version, pictured in headline photo above)
shop.wagnific.com/lead_jessica (Jessica Clarke, Park Encounter version)
shop.wagnific.com/lead_jessica_v3 (Jessica Clarke, also Park Encounter version)
shop.wagnific.com/lead_jessica_nov10 (Jessica Clarke, Conference Discovery version)
wagnific.com/doc-article (Emily Roberts—see below)
shop.wagnific.com/lead_crawford (Jason Crawford, Park Encounter version)
storefront.wagnific.com/lead_sarah_a (Sarah Mitchell, Conference Presentation version #1)
storefront.wagnific.com/lead_sarah_june_m (Sarah Mitchell, Conference Presentation version #2)

All of the above pages are included in the Internet Archive, in case they disappear from Wagnific’s site in the future.

“Dr. Ryan Davies” and His Research

One thing that is common to all but one of the stories I found is a spotlight on a veterinarian named Ryan Davies. Dr. Davies supposedly discovered a combination of sound frequencies that “resets” a dog’s nervous system from alert to calm. (I addressed the ridiculousness of Wagnific’s claims about its music in my previous piece.)

Dr. Davies is claimed to be a university researcher as well as a “canine neurologist.” But there is no Dr. Davies included in the board-certified veterinary neurologist listings. Nor could I find a university researcher by that name in this specialty of veterinary science. The only vet by that name I found was an eminent bovine specialist in Wales.

But the plot thickens. On almost every sales page, Wagnific cites a scholarly paper by Dr. Davies called “Binaural Auditory Stimulation and Autonomic Nervous System Response in Domesticated Canines.” They say that it is in the 2019 issue of the Journal of Veterinary Behavior. Here’s a screen shot from one of the pages that refers to this “research.”

This image is also from the version of the page ending in “lead_adv_rewrite_bio”

I invite you to look for this paper. Hit up Google Scholar or the JVB website. While you are at it, look for the six other articles that Wagnific repeatedly claims Dr. Davies has published on the topic.

Dr. Davies does have a little competition for the credit, though. An early article (2024) on the Wagnific site credits the “wunderkind of innovative animal care” Dr. Emily Roberts, who is said to have a master’s in biomedical engineering and a doctorate of veterinary medicine. Her page comes complete with an image from a purported television appearance by Dr. Roberts at “News24.” However, the news anchor, newsroom scene, and News24 logo appear to come from a stock photo found on many sites, with a scene of “Dr. Roberts” presenting at a conference badly pasted in.

Pet Wellness Periodicals

At least two pages have references to and logos for pet wellness journals that don’t seem to exist.

The one on Dr. Emily Roberts’ page is Daily Pet Wellness, written by “Julian A.,” who is stated to be a staff writer there since 2018. I can find neither the journal nor the writer. It’s also strange that Julian’s article for Daily Pet Wellness appears only on the Wagnific site. Also, the line drawing part of the logo presented for Daily Pet Wellness is identical to one on Vetcancy, a job platform for vets.

There is another periodical, Pet Wellness JournalTM, cited on the same page that refers to Dr. Jessica Clarke as a veterinary behaviorist. You can see that one above on the header photo of this article. I searched trademarks and found no record of the periodical.

Images

There are many oddities and inconsistencies with the various images in the articles, including a lot of sloppy AI images. Prime among the inconsistencies is that there are at least three different men playing the part of Dr. Davies in various photos. Their commonality: a beard.

My favorite is the one with Dr. Clarke and a young Dr. Davies (his age in the images varies widely) standing in front of a table with a laptop, a sound mixing board, a mic, and headphones on it. A retriever lies on a dog bed that the AI conveniently put at the same level of the elevated worktable (right next to the mixing board). You can see this photo at the URL that ends in lead_jessica (see list above).

Speaking of Lucy, Dr. Clarke’s unruly dog who got cured by Wagnific’s “binaural” music—there are so many photographic versions of her! She starts off as a light-colored golden retriever, but the color varies, and she even morphs partly into what looks more like a Labrador retriever in some images.

Conclusion

Every page on Wagnific’s website raises alarm bells, from the ridiculous “scientific” claims I described in my last piece to the people, credentials, periodicals, journal articles, and images that seem to have been made from whole cloth.
