This bottom pad mainly serves as a stabilizer for the playpen, helping to keep it firmly in place and prevent it from loosening or wobbling. It also acts as a floor protector, reducing friction between the playpen and your floor. (Not machine washable.)

Is it time-consuming to assemble this dog pen?

No, it is similar to the steps of assembling a normal fence. We just added a bottom that can stabilize the fence. It is recommended to lay the bottom on the floor before assembling the fence.

Is the bottom square? If I don’t install the bottom, can the fence be combined at will?

The bottom is square, and our link also sells other shapes that you can choose by yourself; if the bottom is not installed, the fence can be combined as you like.

Is this playpen suitable for puppies?

Yes, it can be used for puppies, but supervision is recommended. Puppies may try to put their paws through the bars or chew the bottom mat connectors. For very small puppies, the bar spacing may be wide, so please watch them closely.
